CHAS accredited Tree Surgeon: What does it mean?
CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Scheme) is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. AtkinsonArb is accredited within CHAS.
Being CHAS registered is highly recognised with many organisations and local authorities insisting that companies are CHAS registered. It is a key component before considering tree surgeons for tree services contracts.
For the domestic customer, this is not a requirement, however our accreditation within CHAS is simply another level of assurance. It confirms you are employing a safe and competent contractor for your tree surgery works, in Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas. You can’t be too careful with your trees!
CHAS, for us, is more than compliance.
Our Lincolnshire based tree surgeons put an emphasis on the safety of anyone impacted with the work we undertake.
The process of needing to renew our CHAS accreditation annually assures the following:
- Prioritisation of health and safety using the latest in arborist techniques and safety equipment.
- Regular checks of the equipment in use.
- Health and safety talks arranged regularly to ensure safe practices are undertaken and learned from each member of our team.
- Structured & Pre-planned work to ensure what, how and when we operate tree care services, they are executed safely and efficiently
Strictly following these procedures allows us to reduce the risk of harm to our staff and the public.
How does this benefit our customers?
Having our tree surgeons follow these procedures gives our customers peace of mind. Again, For the domestic customer, this is not a requirement, however our accreditation within CHAS is simply another level of assurance.
Knowing our company adopts safe practices and demonstrate expert-level arborist skills means our work is highly regarded.
We are not saying that Tree Surgery companies who do not comply with CHAS are worse, however, knowing AtkinsonArb are obligated to meet the latest in health and safety standard for the industry is an added assurance.
